*Edited to Add: So. Are all R.O.K. Army personnel required to wear head coverings outside and in public when in uniform, or not? Which is it? And if this photographer is not military personnel, why the heck is he in uniform? *tsk, tsk, tsk*
Maybe that’s another reason Rain was “unforthcoming” to the Media—he had personnel without a hat on right in his face, and the Media obviously thought nothing of it. LOL! ^@@^

It seems all the fans in Korea are watching soldiers in uniform now whether they have Hat on,or not, because whole media in Korea took a evil wave to stir people up in picking one person while all others go around without hat showing in public regularly [ I never saw Rain without hat in uniform before,just one time ,media blew like one of biggest their news,so unreal.
One of fan from dcinside fan site saw 5 soldiers coming in restaurant, and 3 of them without hats as casual as seen usual thing,and nobody noticed about hat, even owner served more foods with compliments,
another fan said she had cousin who is regular soldier who had vacation time 80+, and fan told his cousin that she will report him for many vacation days he got, and cousin stated that’s all common in soldiers now that they get different extra vacation days from rewards depending on their jobs done in excellence, and who doesn’t get rewards don’ get extra vacation days,and also depending commanders too

I can’t see to understand this hat wearing rule!! My conclusions is yes not just the military has special treatment for rain but the netizens too. That they see only what rains doesn’t do well and the rest we don’t care.

I’ve just noticed that 이진호 is also not wearing a hat on his photo of the DEMA’s site among PR-soldiers’ pictures!!! Hahaha,,, but poor Rain… it’s totally absurd…

I read notes from dcinside fan site that the man in uniform without hat is trying to keep Rain away from the surrouding/waiting reporters after Rain’s salute,it said he is general, i think he was in a hurry to keep Rain away from them,and I saw him wearing a hat in another video, and still holding Rain’s hand pulling him away from the anxious reporters.I don’t know if it’s ok because he is general, or reporters are not intrested as other soldiers wearing a hat, or not,as it will not stir people a tiny bit

I’ve done a bunch of researching tonight because I was curious, and I’ve seen the man in uniform in just about all of the news videos without his hat and in one of them with his hat. And I had come to the conclusion that yes, this man was an officer and he was doing his best to keep all the reporters from besieging Rain (thank goodness). You saw on DC Inside, it was said that he is a general? Good grief. That is incredible to me. I certainly appreciate him trying to protect Rain, but for goodness sake, Rain was just punished in front of the public and the world for not having his hat on, and a general assigned to Rain takes that liberty, right in front of him, no less? (if this is indeed true…)
It seems you’re right about it not stirring anyone over there if it is true, because I haven’t seen where anything has been said in the Media about it yet, which renders me just about speechless. It only goes to prove that the entire witch-hunt was all about sticking in to Rain and not about any rules or regulations whatsoever. I’ll bet an entire Army regiment could have paraded by without their hats and the Media would have only been interested in getting near Rain.
It’s not that I’m holding a grudge against the man, general or whatever he may be. It’s the Big Picture that disgusts me, how one soldier can be made a scapegoat and thrown to the wolves just to satisfy an unruly mob, for a rule that soldiers don’t even care to follow anyway.

About his being general, fan wrote someone told her he is general,and I have no idea who he is, sorry for confusion in my notes above.still he acted somewhat in higher rank freely going around without concerning of rules of hat,and he is even not pointed by an army authorities

The man definitely seems like he is high in rank, by the way he was acting and the way the higher-ups were acting around him. Like you said, it was like they didn’t bother to notice or care about the rule-breaking. Which is shocking.

Wow, like I said before….it’s a damned shame is it not?
Other than be successful, what’na hell did Rain do for “citizens” to want to come after him at the slightest hint of a scandal? Did he try to get with the wrong chick way back when? Did he slap somebody’s mama? Did he kick somebody’s dog? What is it exactly? or is it that he has the audacity, the unmitigated gall to want to work outside of Korea? Maybe that’s it. Because there are no words that can justify ANY soldier (general or not) not wearing their hats in public, not after what just happened to Bi.

May I suggest you pose your question along with posting the photos to DEMA? I think they have some explaining to do and perhaps having their feet held to the fire is a good thing at this point.
Those new photos are really ‘in your face’ and if that man is not a soldier, as you say what is he doing in uniform?

We’ve posted this info on The Cloud and we are contacting The Cloud Executive and making sure she is fully aware of them. We’d rather any communication to DEMA come from Rain’s “official” fan club.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the angry mob mania was not concerned with hat policy and procedures (that was just an excuse) they were focused on attacking Rain. I’m sure the reasons are varied but the end result was the same. Rain was given an unnecessary hard time. I do believe that madness is pretty much over…..hopefully.
